PM Shehbaz arrives in Karachi on day-long visit – Pakistan

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will visit Karachi all day on Wednesday to preside over a consultative meeting on urban development projects.

Television footage showed Sindh Prime Minister Murad Ali Shah welcoming the prime minister upon arrival in the port city.

This is Shevaz’s first visit to the provincial capital, Sindh, since taking office as prime minister on Monday.

PML-N Intelligence Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said in a tweet that the newly elected prime minister had a meeting on the economy with Karachi while flying to the metropolis.

According to radio pakistan, accompanied by MNAs Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Maulana Asad Mehmood and Akram Durrani. Former Finance Minister and PML-N leader Miftah Ismail will also accompany him.

Shortly after arrival, Prime Minister Shebaz joined the Confederate leaders to pay tribute at the mausoleum of Quaid. He also dedicated his fate by placing flower wreaths on the graveyard.

The purpose of a visit to the mausoleum is to reaffirm observance of the founding principles of the country’s development and prosperity.

The Prime Minister also met with Prime Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah of Sindh and later chaired a consultative meeting on development projects in Karachi.

After meeting with Sindh Minister, Shehbaz told the press that she had received a detailed briefing from the local chief executive about Sindh’s development project.

He told the media that his government would try to get the Karachi loop railway project into the CPEC. He also asked the Prime Minister to take action to complete Karachi’s drinking water project by 2024.

Prime Minister Shevaz also said that Karachi should introduce air-conditioned buses to solve the city’s traffic problem.
