Imran thanks SC for ‘safeguarding moral standards’ of nation with Article 63-A verdict – Pakistan

PTI Chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan thanked the Supreme Court on Tuesday for saving the country from “exacerbating moral standards.” organized conspiracy.

Lee’s statement comes just hours after the Supreme Court made a decision on the presidential nomination calling for an interpretation of Article 63 (a) of the Constitution that it does not count the votes of North Korean defectors. .

The verdict of the larger tribunal of the Supreme Court was a 3-2 split decision, where the majority of judges did not allow lawmakers to vote against party lines in the four cases described under Article 63-A. The verdict went on to point out that defection was “one of the most dangerous ways” to destabilize political parties and could even justify parliamentary democracy.

“Thank God, the Supreme Court rejected the votes of lawmakers who betrayed the people, the state and the Constitution,” Imran told an audience today at a public meeting in Attock.

Imran welcomed the decision, urging the court to seek records of the Sharif family’s corruption case and conduct routine hearings on the case.

He said the incumbent government has deliberately “destroyed” agencies like the Federal Investigation Agency to make them ineffective in investigating cases of corruption.

Imran also asked the Supreme Court to investigate the death of Dr. Mohammad Rizwan, an FIA agent who recently died of a heart attack. In a speech over the past week, Imran raised allegations of cheating on the nature of Dr Rizwan’s death.

The PTI Commissioner’s assessment of the Supreme Court contrasts with his public criticism of the judiciary over the past few weeks in his political power show where he asked why courts open at midnight before he was ousted.

The only demand is an immediate election.”

The former prime minister lamented that Shehbaz and his son would have been convicted a year ago, but added that it could not happen due to the country’s weak judicial system.

“We just want one thing and that’s an immediate election,” he told the crowd. “We don’t accept this US-backed government.”

Imran said he is “planning carefully” the date of the upcoming march to Islamabad and will reveal it in the next few days.

He also asked for a promise from rally attendees not to vote for leaders whose fortunes and assets are hidden abroad in future elections.

The PTI Director also “congratulates” Khyber Pakhtonkhwa for having only one “turncourt” in the entire province. He said the PTI would never forgive those who defected to another political party “for money.”

Imran rebuked the current government and reiterated that it had agreed to procure oil and wheat at a 30% discount with Russia. However, he insisted that “the current government withdrew all agreements immediately after taking power.”

There is no neutral clause”

He said there are two kinds of people in this country.

“Allah told us to choose between the two and he did not allow us to remain neutral here.”

He predicted that the government would “approach” the U.S. for help under the pretext that Imran would come to power if the funds were not provided.

The former prime minister said Asif Ali Zardari “enjoys” the current political situation, while Shehbaz “is struggling” because the PPP controls Sindh along with a federal stake.
